On the morning of November 30, 2025, at Conference Room C2 of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (VISRAE) convened its 5th Congress (2025-2030). This Congress marked the largest scale event of the refrigeration and HVAC sector in the past five years, gathering a strong and diverse community of scientists, enterprises, and engineers nationwide.

A gathering of leading experts and industry leaders

The Congress welcomed professors, associate professors, researchers, and representatives from universities and colleges, alongside leading experts in refrigeration and air conditioning. Numerous design consultants, equipment suppliers, domestic manufacturers, engineers, and technicians across the sector were also in attendance.

Representatives from key government bodies including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Home Affairs participated as well, underscoring the strategic importance of the thermal refrigeration field in driving Vietnam’s sustainable energy agenda.

This event can be regarded as the most influential and comprehensive gathering of the refrigeration and HVAC industry in recent years.

Sustainable development orientation toward 2030

The Congress reviewed the achievements of the 4th term and highlighted the association’s contributions to policy consultation, green transition, energy efficiency, and sustainable development. It also defined the strategic direction for the 5th term (2025-2030), addressing new challenges as Vietnam advances its commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Congress served as an essential platform linking regulators, researchers, and businesses fostering knowledge exchange, technology innovation, and the promotion of sustainability within the refrigeration and HVAC sector.
